This time I wrote in English… anyway this post is specially for those who wants to get scholarship.  If you have an interest particularly in Climate Change and Forestry, Counter-terrorism and International Security, Democracy and Governance, Religion and Islamic Studies, Economic Reform and International Trade, Human Rights, Conflict, Justice and Peace Building. Then you should try this link: http://www.britishcouncil.org/indonesia-common-chevening.htm

The British Chevening Awards programme, funded by the British Government (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) and administered by the British Council, has awarded over 1000 scholarships in Indonesia since 1984. Full scholarships are offered for one year Master degrees in the United Kingdom (UK).

The scholarships can support courses at various universities and professional institutions in the UK including courses in media, finance, economics, politics, law, management, engineering, gender, environment, democracy etc.

A very competitive scheme, only the best applicants are invited for further test and interview. The scholarship covers living costs in the UK, tuition fees and return airfares.

Employees, employee’s relatives (or former employees who have left employment less than two years before) of the FCO (Foreign Commonwealth Office), including FCO posts, the British Council and the sponsor will not be eligible to apply for these awards.

Many Indonesians already won these awards and get the scholarship such as:  Riri Riza, Lula Kamal, Arief Suditomo, Rosiana Silalahi, Patsy Widakuswara, Yudhi Soerjoatmodjo, Nan T Achnas, Ira Koesno, Bambang Kesowo, Alexander Sriewijono, Rusli Eddy (Sly) and many more.

The deadline is until the end of the year, 31st December 2009.  Goodluck!
